Good or bad choice

I was wondering I have been studying for about 2.5 months for the June lsat. During this period I have taken six practice lsat and am at the point where I need about 8-10 point increase to get the amount of money I want for law school. Until yesterday I was registered for a kaplan course which was supposed to start a week from yesterday. I spoke with a few law school consultants and one theme that all kept harping was for me to drop the kaplan course and go get a private tutor. So I called a few of the ones that they gave me some that live in Cincinnati where I live and other that would be much better but they are not near me and it would have to be online. After speaking with a man in Chicago for about two hours I decided to return my kaplan stuff and get my money back and use him and do it via online. The reasons they said for me to get a private tutor opposed to kaplan is because they said I have come to far for the course to help me because it wont specifically help me in the way I want. I asked well why dont I just use a kaplan tutor and the one said because honestly you just dont know who you will get and how quality they will be. In either case I have made my decision just wanted some feedback.

If you've made your decision, why do you want feedback? If I tell you that it was good or bad, it won't change what you do, only how you feel about it. So have confidence in youself and don't worry about what we think.

I do think it's strange that they said that the quality if an independent tutor was more guaranteed than the quality of a major company tutor. It's actually the opposite. (Not that independent tutors are worse, just that you have less assurance that they're any good. Many of them are quite good, I assume; it's just hard to tell until you get going.)
