I was doing PrepTest 1, and I just couldn't understand #14 of Section 2 of PrepTest 1.
I would really appreciate it if anyone who has the test with him could answer my question.

So I expressed the rules as:

1. H > N
2. K > J
3. N
---- > G
J
4. N > O
5. J > M
6. G > I

And the diagram as:

H < ....... < O
.
.
N
------ > G > I
J
.
.
K < ....... < M

The question is basically a sequence question, with question 14 asking what CANNOT be true.

The correct answer states that G cannot be 4th. I understand the correct answer. Because H & N and J & K must come before G, G cannot be 4th. G can only be 5th at the earliest.

But I also wonder why answer choice (E) stating that O was 4th could be true.
Is it that since the place of O is certain (it could come before or after G), the possible sequence is that H is 1st, N is 2nd, G is 3rd, then O is 4th?

H N G O is not possible; if O follows G, it must also follow K and J.

These orderings are possible:
K H N O
H K N O
H N K O
