Sooo I have two sets of books from the Kaplan course and Kaplan Extreme. To be honest, I never really did work outside of the 20hrs a week of class so I still have a lot of study material. With that said, I would like to raise my poor little 158 to a 165 + for June. My original diagnostic was a 142 and I dominate logic games (-0 on the real thing) but get KILLED on reading comp. Should I buy the bibles or stick to my Kaplan material? If yes, what should I buy? There seems to be so many different choices.....

The Bibles are a great resource. I did not take a class and used the Bibles and PTs to prepare.

That said, if you've already taken Kaplan, you have learned some methods that will contradict what the Bibles advise. Learning new methods may be confusing.

Don't bother with the LG bible because you already have it down.

I'd recommend the LR bible.

I'm not sure about the RC bible. I found it sort of worthless, but I found the RC to not be that hard, despite the fact I rarely read. Maybe you need a more structured approach to RC, that the bible can give you.

TL;DR; LR + RC yes, LG no.

Absolutely you should.

I used nothing but the bibles, PT's and I went from a 141 to a 179 through obsessive self-study.

June to February

Obsessive —
Weekdays :: ~ of 2-3 hours a day after work/dinner.
Weekends :: ~ 8 hours a day.

I approached everything in this order (when to start each will vary for each individual)
1. Bibles (all three)
2. Untimed PTs / Review
3. Timed PTs / Review
4. Full Tests (5 sections) on Weekends / Review

Review correct/incorrect answers, verify your methods with the bibles and reread sections you find yourself having difficulty with.

This sounds amazing... BUT, I bought the "10 more" LSAT series (well, 2 of the 3). There are no explanations in these books, only answers. Am wondering if separate PTs include explanations...

If not, I sometimes find it hard to review PTs when I don't exactly understand why and how a certain answer is right or wrong.

I bought the PS Bibles (all three) and I hope it will give me something to work with. Everyone swears by them.

I am totally planning on buying superprep. The only "bug" with these is that they're February tests, which I perceive to be different from the other months... no?

You're right. Feb's different from other months. Among other important differences, it's the only month starting with F.

What makes you think Feb exams are any different from others? b/c they're undisclosed?

There's no difference in the exams. Really.

Despite what some people might have you believe, there's no reason to think that February is any different. The SuperPrep material is slightly different than what you'll be seeing on test day, but only because it's a bit older. The book has incredibly detailed and well-written explanations, and it's definitely a must-buy if you're self-studying.
