Hi all,

I've searched a lot and still haven't find the answers for my questions regarding the blueprint movie course...can you help?
1. I've heard great things online about the movie from blueprint, however:
- It's a movie streamed online, but can I access the movie at any time to go over something or work at my own pace?
- Is the blueprint methodology a lot different from powerscore? I'm going through the bibles, which is helpful, but don't want to take blueprint if im going to have to relearn specific methods, etc.
- Does blueprint have any virtually proctored pt's with the movie?

2. Regarding powerscore, i was thinking of taking the full class. I work full time (midnight hours) and have 2 kids. I'm very motivated to go through with the test and school, but for this test I'd like to have some proctored exams as practice and think the instruction could help. Anyone have experience with the full length class?

As of now, I'm finding that I 'get' lg concepts - but have trouble setting up the games now and can't get past the first few questions, which sucks because I used to be able to do them just fine. I dunno what happened. Needless to say I haven't gotten a diagnostic done yet.

Any thoughts/advice/experience would be helpful =)

They're like YouTube videos. You can play, pause or rewind at any time.

It seemed very similar to me. Blueprint, like Powerscore, forces you to do drills (for conditional logic, diagramming logic games, etc.) that will dramatically improve your methods and speed.

For what it's worth, since I knew that my weakest section was Logic Games, I supplemented Blueprint with the Powerscore Logic Games Bible, which you can buy through walmart.com for something like $39.99.

Not to my knowledge. But, to be honest, I don't think this is necessary. If you typically have panic attacks on PTs, I guess you could buy the LSAT Proctor DVD or sit in on Kaplan diagnostic tests or something, but otherwise just time yourself strictly and try to take your PTs somewhere unfamiliar like a library.

Then I'd recommend Blueprint. I work 50-60 hours a week at a high-stress job, and the flexibility of the Blueprint course was crucial.

Whenever I had 2-3 hours free, I'd sit down at my desk in my sweatpants and fire up the videos, whether that was 10pm on a Tuesday or 8am on a Sunday. Any time I needed to take a break (cereal, bathroom, phone call, etc.) I'd just pause the movie and come back after.

FYI -- Blueprint/LGB took me from PTing in the mid-160s to the mid-170s (and a 171 on the real thing)

Question:
When people say they're diagnostic was like 155 or something, do they usually mean that they studied through lr & lg's and have somewhat of a grasp...or do they mean that's what they scored without knowing anything about the lsat - never looking at lg methods, etc.? Because I'm finding that even though i've gone through linear games in the bible, im still missing some key inferences here & there and it's preventing me from answering all the questions in specific games, which is starting to depress me, lol

The latter, which is why it's sort of silly to get that worked up over a diagnostic. It's a baseline score, but if you pour yourself into studying you can bump your diagnostic score 15 points or more (I did).

If this wasn't happening, you'd be wasting time and money studying, right? You could just walk in cold in June and get your 180.

Interested in the answer to this question as well.

If "not finding deductions" is preventing you from answering questions, you're doing something wrong. Not finding deductions just makes the questions go slower.

When I talk about my initial 154, I mean after glancing through a prep book to know the format and that's about it. I knew to draw diagrams for logic games, but I couldn't have told you the difference between game types, for instance.
