Is anyone who took the February 2010 LSAT going to request a handscore?

I scored a 153 on the February 2010 LSAT and in December 2009 I scored a 160. I cancelled in September 2009. There is a 7 point drop. My PT average was 165 with a high of 167 and a low of 157. Should I request a handscore? Anyone have success stories from having their LSAT handscored? It sucks I can't view the questions and my answers.

Or should I just accept my fate and let my Electrical Engineering 3.39 GPA go to waste and apply to Cooley?

You have better options than cooley. Apply to whatever T2's you find appealing and you will get in to some.

it won't hurt (much, if any). You never know about these undisclosed tests but Scantrons are usually pretty good at what they do. I am not sure if you will get to see the sheet or just an updated (and maybe revised score). Usually in other administrations you can see if you warrant a better score, but this you are just guessing.

In your case, the petential upside isn't that big since you are way below your previous score. the down side is also that that big just incase you do lose some more points. I don't know if Scantron can really miss 10+ raw score to warrant you a 160+.

Usually you do handscoring for peace of mind but I don't know if you will get it because you probably still won't get to see your scoresheet.

What's $40? The chance that there will be any change is very small, and there probably isn't much of a possible upside or downside, but you'll probably have a permanent, nagging "what if?" sounding off in your brain if you don't do it.

If you have $40 to give away, feel free. There's little to lose.

Still, I doubt you're going to see any substantial difference. Here's why - the three busiest tests of the year are disclosed. In other words takers get to see their Scantron sheets. Looking back at past posts on this board, there's little evidence of Scantron mistakes. Not to say it doesn't happen, just that it's an unusual event when it does occur. I'm not aware of anyone ever suggesting the Scantron made ten or more errors.

It's possible you misbubbled a section - that could certainly account for such a discrepancy. There are conflicting reports as to whether LSAC will correct for obvious misbubbling.
