Studying when tired is really a disaster

Has anyone here had the delightful experience of feeling too tired to take a practice test and then talking yourself into taking the practice test and then bombing the test because you are to tired to concentrate really hard and then getting very discouraged thinking that you are doomed to a crappy score because you had one bad day?

Its a very stupid thing to do and I did it today.

Well, I had a similar experience to that when I took my (cold) first practice test last fall. I got only about four hours of sleep because my roommate is damn loud snorer. On top of that the test was at 8 am, and unfortunately no campus eatery opens until 10 am so I had to take the test with 4 hours of sleep and a growling stomach. That was hell.

Ended up getting a 146

That just happened to me today. I was doing the Logical Reasoning section and literally got the first 5 questions wrong and just gave up. However, about 2 weeks ago I was breezing through the LR section not missing any.....

I took a test two weeks ago and got -1 and -4 on the LR and then I drink last night and am slightly hung over -9 today.

I think it is a little to early to freak out right now, we still got 90 days until the test.

I once took one while I was in a terribly bad mood and mentally tired. It started out with good intentions but by the time the logic games rolled around I had broken three pencils in rage. I am usually a pretty docile guy but, under those circumstances the LG seemed like the most difficult thing in the world. I wish I could tell you what I got on that test but I simply quit shortly after that.

Yes. Worked a 9 hour day, ran some errands and then tried to sit down an take PT 57 starting at 8:45pm.

Words in questions were just running together nonsensically, I started to forget which answer choice to bubble in ("Wait, did I circle C or B?") in the time it took to look from my test booklet to my answer grid... a surreal experience and utter waste of time.

I think I scored somewhere in the high 150s, about 15 points below where I scored on the real thing a few weeks later.

I took one at Kaplan yesterday and I think the aura of douche-baggery effected my score. I went -1 -1 -2 on LR LR and RC the day before and got -3 -4 -3.

I can't think of any other cause except the general atmosphere of failure the building exuded.

Took a PT last week when I was tired after a long day and little sleep the night prior and ended up scoring 10 points lower than what I had scored prior to that.

...or drunk. Don't forget, studying drunk can be bad too. Really bad. Because then you're drunk and bummed about your 146.
