Feb 2010 LSAT takers: How did you do?

It's been a myth that people on TLS tend to be overachievers. Of course one sample cannot speak for the whole population, but if there are many observations the estimator will reflect pretty accurately the actual data. This poll's result could also serve as a reference for estimating the difficulty of the February test.

Your vote is appreciated.

No, not really. TLS members, in the aggregate, probably outperform the general test-taking population by a very significant amount.

This poll won't reveal anything whatsoever about the test itself.

Those who did poorly on the test probably wouldn't even click on this thread much less vote, as it would only make them feel worse.

Hi, new poster here.

I took the test and only got a 149, I didn't take it seriously enough and am going to retake in October since I'll have a lot of time to study this summer.

161. 6 point drop from PT average. I walked out the testing center predicting a 161 because it was also my lowest PT and games gave me the same amount of trouble.

So far, 29 out of 35 respondents scored at or above the 81st percentile (160), and 12 out of 35 (34.3%) of respondents scored at or above the 98th percentile (170).

I think it is also important to consider who Feb. test takes are. A lot of TLSers who took the Feb. exam are retakers. Retakers are probably dissatisfied with their original scores. The folks on here who scored highly in June or October probably aren't going to be retaking in February. Having said that, I still think the poll provides interesting data, but probably not a representative sample of TLS overachievers.

I was devastated when I got my score of 151 on the Feb LSAT! As a first timer, I was consistently scoring 160+ on all LSAC practice tests and I was blown away at how poorly I did. Probably a combination of things but I know for sure the games KILLED  my score, and that I could have used a lot more practice with comparative reading as very few of my Kaplan and LSAC study materials included adequate prep for this new section. Although I had a 3.5 GPA in college, I don't even want to apply with this sh1t score. To those of you who didn't score in the 170's - you're not alone! PS- I studied for 5 months up to 3 hours a day while working full time= so it's not like I didn't try to do well. :? Don't think I'm going to study for as long next time. I'll be retaking in June for sure.

43/53 at the 81st percentile or above.

So what's your support for labeling as a "myth" the idea that TLSers, overall, significantly outperform the general test-taking population?

170, first time (and last time) taker. My perception is that everyone on here strives to be in the 99.9 percentile. Regardless of score and GPA

Based on a sample of size 60, I can quite confidently reject the null hypothesis that LSAT test-takers from TLS are not over-achievers.
