I am taking the LSAT in June and am hitting 90-100% on LG and RC in prep but still missing a lot of LR. I went through the LR Bible and it helped a bit but I'm still having trouble. What can I do to improve in this section. I was thinking about taking Blueprint: The Movie. Any thoughts or ideas welcome.

How about some introductory books on informal logic? "Logic made easy" by Deborah Bennett, "Informal Logic" by Douglas Walton, "Logic: A Very Short Introduction" by Graham Priest, that sort of thing.

Plus, change your strategy with answering LR questions. For awhile, forget the time and answer each question SLOWLY, dissecting every answer choice, trying to understand what the test makers want from you. Don't move on until you have thoroughly understood why you got any question wrong (and "ah, I should've seen it" doesn't count - remember your reasoning and match it against the reasoning of the test makers).. Find generalizations about why you missed any particular question and keep the statistics. Your task is to start understanding how the test makers think, not treating each question like a black box to be cracked under time constraints. They're logicians, remember, so they're pretty predictable.

Thanks for the great advice!! I always do that when I get one wrong. I will now analyze each question more thoroughly.

You look good on RC and LG. I did the LR bible twice and still wasn't "getting it". LR for me magically happened due to repetition. I suck when I try to do LR slow and absorb everything...I start thinking too much. You will eventually find that rythm where things begin to click.

+1

If you don't do it on a practice test, don't expect to do it on the real thing.
