I remember before the December LSAT, there was some talk about how good people were at predicting their score - whether it was possible to have a pretty decent idea about your score and all that.

So what if everyone posted their score prediction for themselves, and then once scores are released, post the actual and the difference. We can average the differences and see how good this sample of Feb. test takers, anyways, is at predicting.

I'll go first. I'm assuming an average curve, say a -10 or -11: 171.

Somewhere in the low 170s- gonna go with 172

I think the curve will be -12, although we will never actually know

Anywhere from 162-170.

So, I'll take the average of that.

My score prediction is a 166.
I think the curve is going to be -11.

I'll predict a 176.

I felt good about the test, and my median going in was a 177. Two questions (RC) I had genuine troubles with, and a couple I wasn't completely confident in, but the rest I was pretty sure I had the right answer. I had time to check my answers so I don't anticipate more sloppy mistakes than usual.

I'm guessing the curve will be -12 since many people here seem to complain about LG

For me its anywhere from 158 to 166, I'll predict 163. Will be re taking this to get the 170 I always wanted.

I'll go with a -11 curve. Difficulty seemed about average. Though we'll never know for sure.

Muffed the LG section a bit, probably did well on the rest. I'd say I came in below my PT average (173).

I'll predict a 167. Disappointing if true, but it would still be enough to get into a school where I'd be happy.

I guess a -12 curve, but hope for more like a -15. Arg and RC were average. LG's killed me. I guessed on 8.

I'm thinking I get a 165. Probably have to retest in June.

Agreed. I was surprised when I saw how many people came into the test knowing almost nothing about it. People were talking during the break and didn't even know that there was an experimental section. Another guy showed up yesterday morning at 8:45, with a laptop bag and his cell phone. Plus, a lot of people were freaking out about the writing sample section. Seeing other people worry before the test actually made me feel more calm and confident in my preparation.

I agree. During the break I casually asked if anyone is aiming for 170's range...I got the weirdest look, most were aiming for a 155-160+....some were even 2 time takers aiming this low

That's true. I told someone I'm rewriting a 160 and he gave me the weirdest look.
A 160 is much lower than the typical 165-174 scores I received on PTs before the test.

I never sleep properly before the LSAT which is why my score is never representative of my true abiltiies.

But it really is true. Outside of TLS a lot of law school hopefuls don't aim high.

I got a 158 the first time (Dec. 08) I took it and was devastated. For real, soooo upset. There were some outside factors that I believe caused me to score so low, it was like everything that can go wrong in my life went wrong all at the same time, a few weeks before the test! Anyhow, I have studied like as much as I can (all the Bibles and practice tests) and think I probably got around the mid-160s (I still suck at LG, even though I was doing much better on the pt, its just my speed and pressure of test day). I have 3 kids and a full time teaching job, plus I am finishing my M.Ed for leadership (thought I should just finish it in case I can't find a law job). I still studied a good deal. I really don't think I prepped enough to get into the 170s but you never know. I felt real good about the LR, it was like I had seen most of those questions before but I think it was just all the prep I did.

So, there was one girl at my test center. She never shut up before the test, during the break and after the test. She said she took it in Dec. and got a 154 and that she was happy with that, that it was a pretty good score. I thought to myself that she was crazy and remember how upset I was with a 158. Then, the one lady next to me did NO preparation at all, she didn't even know what the format of the test was. We had 3 people walk out after the first section. And the other lady next to me took the entire 35 minutes for the writing sample and wrote one paragraph! She didn't look too confident when she left the test, I kind of felt bad for her.

I predict 164.

My PT range was 167-176. I know I scored below PT average. If the curve is generous, I could have scored maybe as high as 166. If it is not, I could have scored as low as 160. The 164 is estimating using what I think will be a -11 curve.

I ended up getting a 166.
