Is the only thing that influences the curve how well everyone else does on the test, ala some sort of acceptable percentile spread?

If that's the case, then am I right in thinking that Feb '10 might not get as generous a curve as Dec '09, because less people are taking it (less people = less to drag the curve down) and there might be a higher portion of re-takers trying to catch the 2010 cycle, which will keep the curve higher because they're more prepared?

Thoughts? Not really going to affect anything of course, I'm just bored and overanalyzing the test that now hangs so close over my head. An extra point or two in the curve could push me into the ecstatic-glee-zone of the score scale.

well i dunno EXACTLY how it is figured, but I do kno that to some degree it depends on how people do on it, but not just that particular test, i think its a three year spand....so the percentile spread is not just based on the test you take, but on all the tests within the past 3 years....
