Or something closer to the end of the time for each section?

As a rule, I didn't count on getting any warnings. Keep track with your reliable watch and if the proctor issues a warning then it's a bonus.

(When I took the test, the proctor's warnings were from 2 minutes out to 5)

We only received a 5 minute warning and were told that was official. The other room said they asked for and got a one minute warning as well.

Good thing I had decent proctors. LOL at 2 min warning.

only 5 minute warning.

if you get a nice proctor, you can ask if they can give you a 10 or 15 min warning too.
i tried to ask because i heard others succeeded in different locations, but my proctor was pretty strict about only giving the five minute warning and nothing else.

for first time takers: those proctors are strict man. once you put your foot in the room, you seriously cannot leave to use the restroom until after the test begins. once you pick up that pen to sign in, you can't go to the restroom until after section 3. it happened to me, and i was in disbelief. signed my name, showed my ID right outside the room, ASKED to use the restroom before taking my seat, and they said "NOPE."

It lets me know I need to start my 2-minute offense.

Your proctor might even forget to give a warning at all. (I know someone this happened to) These aren't pros -- they're poorly paid volunteers.

Expect to rely on your watch and don't let anything else fluster you.
