On my recent practice tests I average around 165... but I scored as high as 175.. which was the first and only time I've ever scored 100% on LG. Totally atypical I've taken probably around 15 PT's and the only other score close was 172 (scored a couple of 168 too) I pretty much always score around -4 on logical reasoning and -4 on reading comp. (though on my last real LSAT I believe i was - 9 on RC which really screwed me) I didnt manage my time wisely on it which i have since fixed.

That being said I feel that my main problem in logic games is related to time. I need to speed up on the easier games to bank time for some of the werid games that we've been seeing recently.

I guess this post was mainly to vent and see if anyone else is so "streaky" but also any suggestions for LG would be helpful. Specifically picking games, and strategies to effectively bank time on easy games to allow for more than 8.45min for the harder ones.

I think that I am pretty "streaky" if I understand your definition. For me, my whole score depends on LG. My problem is usually timing as well. I am on a roll and missing very few on the first 3 games, but I am left rushing to get through the last one. If I don't bomb the games then I am okay. What I am doing to help with my games is to go over the last 8 or so LSAT preptests and redo the games, focusing especially on the ones that gave me trouble. I am timing myself per game (around 8 minutes) and see what methods work the quickest. It has been helping a lot. If your problem is timing, I would say don't try to just get through 50 games for extra exposure. Get a few recent games sections and really hammer your methods for dissecting the rules and constructing a diagram.

How many practice tests have you taken? I think everyone is "streaky" to some extent, but my experience has been that the more tests you take the more consistent you will get and the more narrow your range of scores will become. To an extent .. obviously you may still run into the odd section that you crush, or that crushes you.

Not exactly sure how many but i would say about 10-15 full practice tests proctored; a bunch of individual sections and 2 real LSATs... First lsat i was under prepared, second I just under performed

This is purely antecdotal, but I started noticing my range of scores tighten up around tests 10-12, if I remember correctly. Just keep working on it and keep focusing on your weaknesses.
