Top Law Schools

I know it may sound like I am really cutting it close, but I recently decided I wanted to go to law school. I want to study Health Law and Seton Hall University in NJ has one of the best programs in the nation for that. I talked to a rep from there and she told me they had rolling admission and it would not be too late to apply. I am scoring in the high 160s in my practice tests with 3 weeks to go so I am confident my score will be high enough for them plus I have a 3.7 GPA.

What are some experiences you guys have with taking a Feb LSAT and applying for Fall 2010? Is she justmaking me feel better or do I have a legitimate shot to get into other school as well? Thanks for your help in advance

As long as you get the score you're aiming for, you'll get in. Rolling admissions does decrease your chances because you're competing for fewer seats, but not as much as people think. The schools know how many 170s are going to apply in September, in October, in November, etc. They how many 160s are going to apply in the same months and so on. Bottom-line: They're going to save some seats for top scorers who apply at the end. And since Senton Hall's range is 158-162 or so, if you score in the upper 160s, you're in. I'd actually consider applying somewhere with a higher ranking.

Confused... OP are you talking about the 2009-2010 cycle? the one that started in fall 2009? Because the cycle that starts in fall 2010 (2010/2011) won't begin for another 8 months or so.

If you're talking about the 2009/2010 cycle I agree with the above post. And if you don't get in you can always retake and try again next year.
