Concerned About Diff. b/w Curves on Old PTs vs. New PTs.

Hey guys, I'd really like to have some input on this question:

Older PTs tend to have -15ish curves, whereas the newer ones seem to average around -9 ~ -11 or so (correct me if I'm wrong on this).

I think I've seen someone mention that the cause of the disparity is the increase in competitiveness and what not. But is it significantly more difficult to achieve a score of 170+ on the newer PTs because of the curve? This is discounting the change in "tone" on the new PTs.

Does anyone honestly think that the LR questions on the newer PTs are individually easier than the ones from the older ones?

Thanks in advance.

While this may be true, it is speculation. Take it with a grain of salt.

This past LSAT had a -14 curve.

IMO, no.

I have heard people say that they average 1-2 more right in LR and that the games are significantly easier. On the other hand, most people agree that RC is significantly harder.

I would say that the LSAT hasn't gotten objectively harder or easier as a whole, just different. It seems the RC is harder for sure, the LG are significantly easier, and the LR is just a bit different. The new style hurt me because I could get perfect scores on the old logic games anyways so easier games made no difference, however I was getting more wrong on the RC and so my scores dropped as the tests went on. I would say if RC was your strength and LG was your weakness you are better off now than the old practice tests.

Agreed. Some of the older games are so freaking frustrating. I used 7-18 as my practice games after completing the LGB and I can't believe how effing difficult some of those games are, especially some of those sections on the whole. I can't even get as far as classifying some of them!
