I'm coming to grips with the fact that I am taking the LSAT in June. I'm more than halfway through the LG bible and should be finished in the next week - then I will work on the LR bible. I work full-time and attend undergrad full-time.

Can I realistically hope to be well-prepared for the June LSAT by studying consistently 5-7 hours weekly for the next 21 weeks?

Good to know - I realize it may be an individual thing but I recently read a thread where the OP said he's been studying since last July 15 hours a week.

15 hours a week for an entire year sounds like overkill to me. I'm planning on studying about 10-15 hours a week starting two weeks from now. I guess that will put me at ~200 hours.

So far I've picked up the logic games powerscore material fairly easily. I DO NOT contribute that necessarily to my own intelligence but rather to the ease and quality of the powerscore book. Logic games was my worst section on my diagnostic and I recently took a practice test and scored -4 on logic games (keep in mind I'm only half way through). So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

But I do intend to reread in another month or two.

Does anyone have any input as to at what point to be finished reading new info (ie going through the bibles) and then just focus on the practice tests under simulated conditions? Should I be at that point in my studying by April or May? Earlier?

Revised - sorry to those who already voted.

I have already devoted 3 long months to studying and undershot and got a 160 in Dec. I will prep again starting in mid January and work my ass off until the test.

How do you find time to do that? Where are you pting at?

I began studying in August of last year and stopped at the end of November for a 1 month break
Prep Course: 8 hours per week
Individual study time: 20 hours per week

I was told by the guy who is a professional tutor that you should 'reasonably' study 2-3 hours per night/day beginning about 5 months before the exam you plan to take.
I start studying again this Friday and not including the weekend course I am taking in two weeks (16 hours worth), I will be devoting at least 15-20 hours a week of individual time to prepare for June.
I think it all depends on how you do on standardized testing...if it is not your strong area..then study hard. The LSAT is mind-fuck Olympics and you should treat it as such.

I will add this. I work full-time and already have an MBA (done with school)...so I give a TON of credit to anyone still in school AND studying for the LSAT...I didn't want to kill myself like that.

That's a lot of time if you're studying while going to school at the same time.
