Question for those with the Atlas LG Book

On the bottom of p. 160, it says that if G is out, then all we know is that W is also out. Don't we also know that L is out, since the logic chain goes from W out to L out? Is this simply a mistake on their part, or is there a reason I shouldn't assume that G being out also means L being out (via the logic chain of G out to W out to L out)?

It's a known error in the book.
