Indeed, the swift-ottonian method ought to be copyrighted.

Dudes, this is awesome. Going to be time consuming, but awesome.

I've been planning a Pithypike approach, but because I haven't done all the daunting photocopying and sorting of LG I started today just by going through the first two chapters of LGB and doing some RC to get in the groove. By the way, does anyone have an already organized by topic Pithy-style LG PDF or something? I would do unspeakable things to get my hands on that.

But this is going in my game plan for sure! Genius Otto Swift, genius! Is it bad form to ask people what they ended up getting on the LSAT following these approaches? I'm curious to know, although the trend in Otto's progression is pretty convincing in itself.

TAG.

This sounds like amazing advice but I'm just curious about the differences between this method and one where you time yourself (with no buzzer), then decrease down to 35-45 minutes, and finally decrease to a 32-35 minute each section for PTs.

Both methods seem to be really good and I'll be beginning to restudy in April so I'm just curious which would be better...

Thanks for the compliment.

As for results, untimed, I rarely score below a 179 unless I make a couple stupid blunders or run into a few devilish LR questions. Timed, I've slowly but surely crept up the mountain. 154, 158, 163, 162, 165, 163, 173 (WTF!), 166, 168, 167, 171, 172, 170, 172, 177, 173, 175, 166 (WTF!), 171, 175, 177, 177, 176, 177, 171, 176.

I'm hoping for a 180, but who isn't?
WOW! I wish I had the time to do whole tests right now! If I did, i'd start this yesterday! :D

I wonder what happened on that random 166 you have, lol, standing out amongst the far superior scores.

Also, I hope SOS is still on this board because I'd like to ask him how long did he study for? With 26 PT's under his belt it must've been at least a couple of months!

He's at Harvard now. Better things to do with his time ^^

I'll keep bumping it long after you're gone. Definitely one of the most important pieces of advice I've gotten from this board. You rock.

Tagging this so I can find it later. It looks like a great, although time-consuming, method.

Wow thanks to whoever bumped this up! I'm taking the test in October and i'm still trying to figure out which study plan to adopt. A combination of a few most likely, but I think I need to type up EXACTLY what i'm going to do and print it out and tape it up on my wall or something. My diagnostic was around SOS's so i'm feeling hopeful that I can improve as much as he has.

Did anyone actually utilize this strategy, and if you did what was your improvement?

This is interesting, seems like a really good idea. I will probably try it with the PT I'm taking tomorrow.

I'm also interested in whether anyone besides OP tried this...anyone?
