Texas is like five states though.

In no particular order...
1. Houston/Galveston/Gulf Coast
2. Panhandle/West Texas
3. El Paso/RGV
4. Central Texas/Hill Country
5. DFW and East Texas

Seems pretty accurate.

Presumably the data this site has about the GPA/LSAT of hundreds of applicants would give a better idea of the true correlation between the two. At which point we could overlay that regression onto our graph and circle the people who are farthest off average.

Was the resident stat expert able to add real score, section breakdowns or it didn't work?

I love the fact that there are so many Republicans that are vying for the party's nomination. Chris Christie announced today. Scott Walker is also supposed to announce in the near future.

You would think some party leadership would try to squash this at some point. The more people there are in their race the more they pivot to the right. Then come general they have to pretend like they didn't say all the things they've been saying for the last 16 months.

Party leadership is non existent in today's politics. I do however agree with you that it would be prudent for all Candidates to not go too much to the right because then it makes it difficult to attract moderate voters during the general election. I do think that there are three viable candidates from the GOP and they are Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, and Scott Walker. I do love Dr. Ben Carson though.

i think party leadership is strong when there's a clear front runner. in 2008,the democratic party was in limbo and decided to let obama and hilary duke it out. Which eventually created so much buzz and people got so invested in it, everyone forgot about McCain. Honestly i think that's what they are doing. Create buzz take polls. In actuality this is pretty early for this many announcements for presidency, but the clinton hype has kind of forced the republicans to make a decision who can challenge her for the latino vote. No way they get the women vote which is huge now.

Jeb bush has been really good to the latino community in florida.

this comment is problematic on so many levels. female voters are not a monolithic bloc. they are not an interest group. they represent over half of the nation's voters.

This is great I figured this site would be saturated by Snob York and Cali-boring-nia

Coloradoan here, was pissed off when somebody said Chipotle was from Cali. Also, Colorado Mexican food is legit! We steal it from New Mexico.

New Mex-Mex is pretty damn delicious (see: Chuy's), but my sister lives in Denver and I have never found good Mexican food there. Where should I go? Don't say Casa Bonita.

I'm from Pueblo so I can't confidently recommend a place in Denver. I've heard Jack N Grill is good but can't say for sure. I would go to Casa Bonita for Birthday's just like on South Park and felt horrible every time I was done eating....don't do it.....

My only real qualm about this list is I have no idea where College Station belongs.

You are right just a huge majority and where it counts. look at women voting patterns: the ones who vote red are already in red states. The contested states like ohio, florida, women vote democratic

not only that - demographic indicators matter for women just as they do for the population as a whole. There are discernible differences in partisan preferences between college-educated/non-college educated women, married/single women, older/younger, urban/rural, white/nonwhite etc, and there have been for some time now.

Data was a mess and I didn't want to deal with it. It would take way more time than I want to spend to get a truly representative sample.

You think so? I lived in College Station and the Hill Country and they were very different. I feel like College Station is closer to Houston, despite geography, because of the energy focus and general conservative attitude.

I lived there also and I found it more central texas, but it could go either way I suppose.
