idk where u are but if not NYC, get over there (or any part of lower NY around the city) and get a breakfast sandwich... bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel.... guh soooo good

but pizza is good too, grease is key

I think the ~700 mile distance is going to impede my ability to get to NYC. But judging from the feedback I'm thinking italian sub using 2 slices of pizza as the bread.

*Some assembly required.
PERFECT COMBO

oh also i forgot to add breakfast burrito, that may be best of all

Ok so I know that I've bitched about this for days now, but seriously like, there's not ONE Judge who wants my free help??? Back to the former Judge I go!

I'm actually doing stuff at work today, it sucks.

Well, I actually watched the England-Wales game earlier in the morning so maybe I'm catching up from that.

There always seems to be a lull around lunch as people go eat/get cranky from not having eaten yet

Yeah, it was awesome. I missed the first half, but England had the pressure on the whole second and it was pretty satisfying to see them get the winner. Hope they both go through though!

tbh I'm surprised that any judges take non-law school interns etc., it seems like you may have lucked out with the old position you had? but I have no idea.

at any rate, seems like you had a pretty sweet gig and there are a lot of upsides to working in a comfortable environment where you already have a good relationship with your boss. there is a lot to be said for that.

That means we're doing it right ;)

Plus even at that rate, we're nowhere near Dec 2015's breakneck speed.

that's true, altho I think they were just like......super TLSers. was that typical?

andddddd for the record it's 4 pages of shitpoasting so I think it's boredom/funsies rather than neuroses!

and f_u VERY TRUE about lunch, I am eagerly awaiting my lunch break as my vision starts hunger greying

ETA: and for once in a blue moon (shh that's not an expression but I'm hungry and can't think), I actually have a few projects to work on today. Not enough to be truly *busy** but like, enough to keep me away from TLS for 5-20 minute intervals. which is woah

Post Lunch Hangover Update:

I decided on meat-lovers pizza and cheesy bread, so much for the diet today. Ditched the pizza sub idea as it seemed like more effort than I would be willing to muster.

The good news is that the pain has left my head. Yayyyy!

The bad news is that it has moved to my abdomen. Boo.....

Anyways, here is the PW as promised.

lol lol tbf most of the recent discussion was about cool hobbies + awesome travel pwing though. i think we're better than a lot of other waiter threads where seriously like a 100% of it is just "omg guys when are scores coming out?!?!"

not denying being a neurotic bastard tho

Yeah, the courthouse I was at had many Judges who took in undergrad interns. I met almost all of them as well through their given intern lectures, but unfortunately I'm trying a bit too late to go with another Judge so I kind of screwed myself on that one. I actually got involved with my former Judge through a professor, so I wouldn't necessarily say I lucked out but I definitely was lucky enough to get a position at all!

FULLY ENDORSE your lunch choice that sounds delightful. Diets must always go out the window when a hangover is in the mix.

You and your fur baby are mad cute.

seconded, i'm not surprised at all that you aren't being hired with a judge. i feel like those positions are hard to get even if you ARE a law student

i ended up with a pretty sweet paid gig in college at a small law firm (that srsly changed my life), but when i was applying to law firms, i was competing with 6 other people for an unpaid internship with a crim defense lawyer, who wasn't even that impressive (it was only him, he mostly represented people w/ duis, etc). and i didn't get it! i would love to intern for a judge. i def say go back to where you were working before
