I live about 30 minutes from nyc and I rarely go. I also havent been to most popular tourist locations there either. But I was once a tourist in Boston and it was awesome

Roosevelt Island? I've never actually been there but my aunt did have an apartment there for like a year. Relatively small island and I think you can walk all of it from one end to the other in like 20(?) minutes. You should definitely pull up to NYC

If you haven't, head to Governor's Island. I believe you can rent bikes there (or take your own) and it seems like a good time with friends!
