Window sun sucks. I moved to a new place and they haven't put the blinds in yet so I get blasted with it first thing in the morning. Makes me wake up way earlier than I need to.

It's also making me lack the mental energy to actually work, so I just spend the day shitting up this thread.

Yea man. The struggle is real today for some reason. Think I'm going to make getting back into the gym a priority. Laid off my lifting routine during April-June for LSAT prep and this week has been a lot of socializing and doing fuck all.

Gotta get back under that squat rack and stop being such a fattie magoo. That should get my motivation back where it needs to be.

Same, sun in the office is great - I work in my building's lobby (they make interns double as receptionists - not a ton of traffic thru the building so its fine) but the room is ~50% windows which keeps office work from becoming depressing. I'm grateful for the architect's foresight in designing it so direct sunlight only hits during the sunrise, otherwise it would be like a greenhouse!

Yeah I simply cannot force myself to work out if I'm exhausted or just tired after work.

I've definitely lurked it but only posted a couple times in there. My workout philosophy has been "keep it simple stupid" for a long time. Squats, Bench, OHP, Lat pull downs, Rows and Dips 3x a week. Basketball on off days (or jog for 30-45 if it's raining out).

Definitely not the sexiest/most-interesting workout routine but it gets solid results. Besides, at my age, I'm not going for Mr. Universe anymore. I just want to avoid losing a step on the court and not allow dadbod to take over.

What law do y'all want to do?

Currently in finance and took the LSAT as a way to get mind off the fact that I might hate finance... Can't imagine doing biglaw for years

yeah I currently have a pretty simple routine too atm, more focused on strength (gaining more than the little I have) than getting ripped.
I used to workout b4 work but would get up wayy too early and once I stopped I was done lol couldnt go back, so now I workout right away when I get home, otherwise I dont work out

Health law, finishing up Biology undergrad next semester - I work in an office that deals with IP now and I don't know if I'd want to go that direction, but working for a firm that represents hospitals/practices sounds appealing. Could look at health policy too... I have a decent amount of time to decide where I want to go with it yet still.

Yup, Lady Meerkat is happy, so now it's all about being able to keep playing basketball at a reasonable level, scuba/snorkeling without looking like a manatee, and going hiking/camping without gassing on significant inclines. Reasonably fit dadbod goes hard...besides old man strength is also a thing. I've had it work to my advantage a time or two.

BTW, reasonably fit Mombod IS a thing (even though the magazines won't ever admit it).

Dude, early morning is the best way. Gets you up for the day and you feel great the rest of the time. It's always harder to make a PM sesh with regularity because shit always comes up (you're tired, you have to work late, the frau needs you to pick up some wine on the way home, traffic's a bitch).

And strength routines are TCR man. These hypertrophy aesthetics routines that are en vogue right now can really fuck you up if you aren't properly coached/taught (which most of us aren't).
