You've come this far. Why waste your time only to get a bad score or drop out? The more you study, the better you'll do, and the better chance you'll have at improving your future and making more money. Power and money are huge motivators for me.Law2020hopeful wrote:I've hit a big slump with my studying and I desperately need some motivation to get me through this last month. Any words of wisdom out there on how I can psych myself back up/motivate myself for the December test?

In September, I actually did Game One twice...which was kind of dumb. I just did it, looked at my watch, and thought that there was no way I did a full LG in under two minutes. Kind of regret wasting that minute checking over it now haha.Mikey wrote:if that's what he meant, that's insane34iplaw wrote:Mikey wrote:you did 2 LR sections in 37 mins???Deardevil wrote:Went -1 with two LR sections in 37 minutes.

LOL I did game one in like 3 minutes and I was actually double checking all of my answers because I was like "no way this game is going to be so easy" and ended up wasting like 2 minutes. After getting through game 2 in like 5 minutes I was like " I'm going to get hit by the hardest LG ever if the first two were so easy".Mikey wrote:yeah i did game 1 in like 3:30 mins. i was like HUH34iplaw wrote: In September, I actually did Game One twice...which was kind of dumb. Yeah I agree, except I actually think 60s LR is much harder than 70's for whatever reason. If RC is your weak point though, 70's can be hell.tuesdayninja wrote:Oh man I hope not, I've got those coming up and I've been doing just okay in 62-66 (167/168).dj9i27 wrote:does anyone else find the tests in 62-66 to be very kind? Maybe, but most likely not. Heavily leaning towards taking a year off.StopLawying wrote:Hey Mickey, are you retaking December?Mikey wrote:went -5 on PT40's RC. Went 2 mins over time but this is a new best for me! I usually go around -8 on RC

yeah, i can probs have no school/job for the sept. test. it's a huge consideration atm, but i'm still not entirely set on withdrawing from december.dj9i27 wrote:technically I "started" in January too, but didn't give it my all until I graduated in may. spent the summer just for September and now I'm here. without school or a job, is way different. if you can have that luxury I'd take it.Mikey wrote:ehh.. i've been studying since January and i still suck ass at this testdj9i27 wrote:

you think we can just pay off someone at lsac to put a 175 on our record?dj9i27 wrote:way I look at it, if you are PTing where you are happy with your score and skill set, do it. however if there is any shred of doubt I'd bail, then again I'm practicality a K-JD who decided to take a year off solely for the test and September and well, here I amMikey wrote:yeah, i can probs have no school/job for the sept. test. it's a huge consideration atm, but i'm still not entirely set on withdrawing from december.dj9i27 wrote:technically I "started" in January too, but didn't give it my all until I graduated in may. spent the summer just for September and now I'm here. without school or a job, is way different. if you can have that luxury I'd take it.Mikey wrote:ehh.. i've been studying since January and i still suck ass at this testdj9i27 wrote:

how do you guys review RC?
i usually just reread the passages and go over the questions before looking at answers. anyone that does it differently? is there even really a different way of doing review for RC?

Honestly, RC helped me recognize right from wrong easier.Mikey wrote: Yo, seriously, wtf man. I can only do an LR section in 35 mins, at best like 1 mins early.
wot is ur secret
Also, I used to often read stimuli several times, which cost me precious time,
but developing a good speed and improving short-term memory (RC tenets) caused me to practically fly through questions.
I was pleasantly surprised to finish in 17 minutes. Yet, with weeks of drilling passages, RC still remains a thorn in my side...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
