Im still mad that I actually crushed Lacquer and RC and bombed the last two sections because it got to my head and in reality i did fine.... oh well. Shit fucking happens boys. I mean my story is quite idiotic tbh. Back when I was studying for June, I would get really nice PT scores but it was because I literally always got lucky on RC, which is my weakest section. I didn't want to own up to the fact that I sucked at it and sat for June anyways. Fast forward to being insanely upset about my score and actually studying more efficiently and doing a lot more PTs and cracking down on weaknesses and just overall doing a lot better, and I get the same scoredj9i27 wrote:Did you just not study to the point where you were content with your score? I felt like also in Sept they threw some tough LR early in the section too which catches everyone off-guarddj9i27 wrote:^
To be fair the RC on June was tough and you picked a helluva test to have a gotten lucky RC scores lol. I think even objectively September had a tougher RC section tho also the LG section in June was a joke compared to LG in September. If somehow December has some weird test like September I'll sit out a year and restrategize. If there is a weird game plz be like the one on 77, I actually thought that one was fun.

Re: The Official December 2016 Study Group - Time to register! New Poll!
Just got a 168 on PT 30. This is the 3rd 168 I've gotten so far, but on this one I went -3 on both LR sections and missed 6 in the RC section, which is pretty unusual.
I think if I can sharpen my reading skills in the next couple weeks, I will get back down to -0 on RC. That was about where I started and then it went downhill somewhere.
Really happy about -3 on both LR sections. I think that's the best I've done so far with those . Glad to know I'm making progress.
Now on to pushing over the 170 hump.

They're just different, PT 72 is really easy if you spend sometime making inferences upfront and then viruses was this really funky double layer sequencing game essentially.dj9i27 wrote:Did you think the virus game was easier than PT 72?jagerbom79 wrote:That game I remember being super tough, but not like the virus gameconnordalto wrote:I just did pt 72 games- has anybody done game 4 (employees raw materials)? If IIRC, PT 72 wasn't as big of a shock for me and going into that game I had ample time left. They are different games so it just depends on what stumps one person over another. When I got to the virus game in Sept, I was low on time. So we'll see. I'll have to redo those LG sections at some pointdj9i27 wrote:I haven't done either of them in a while (I looked over how many I got wrong on September but not the questions in depth) intentionally because I want them to be as strange as possible when I use them for PTs closer to test day. Oooooof. PT 27 games (Snakes and lizards).
Overtime, and a total of -3 :/
Made up some time on film buffs which was pretty easy, but got in a quagmire for car colors. I figured the choices were so restrictive that doing the complete diagram of everything would be a simple way to save time, and.... noooo. No, it wasn't. For one option, perfectly restricted. For the other, at least a half dozen potential paths when I stopped.

Nice. Congratulations. What helped you the most? I'm trying to get on your level.dj9i27 wrote:Took my second PT since September today. 180 on PT62, pretty happy with this but I didn't add an experimental in the middle like I normally do so that could have something to do with it. Yeah it took about 6 minutes for me just to wrap my head around the game and then I just tried to brute force my way through a couple setups, still went -3 on it though. Cue 7sage. Do you guys know where I could get a copy of the virus game? I wanna try and be prepared for whatever LSAC throws our way for dec.Greenteachurro wrote:They're just different, PT 72 is really easy if you spend sometime making inferences upfront and then viruses was this really funky double layer sequencing game essentially.dj9i27 wrote:Did you think the virus game was easier than PT 72?jagerbom79 wrote:That game I remember being super tough, but not like the virus gameconnordalto wrote:I just did pt 72 games- has anybody done game 4 (employees raw materials)? I'm watching tv all hungover and shit. I see a commercial for listerine and they said they did a study and the first thing that popped in my mind was an LSAT flaw.

Oh. My. God.
PT49 games. Finished with 5 mins to spare (yay).
Game 1, perfect.
Game 3, perfect.
Came 4, perfect.
Game 2 - zero. Nothing right. Everything wrong. I'd understood the game itself, and immediately re-did it once I realised what had gone wrong, and got a perfect score. I'd just failed to note a particularly vicious twist.
"Each piece of mail is addressed to exactly 1 of 3, from G, J, or R.
If L is addressed to R, P goes to J."
Which, by virtue of the order in the first sentence, I'd diagrammed as if L is addressed to J, P to R.
*headthump*.
