I think if you're questioning it yes, don't assign it. You already have two others and that's what most schools require anyways. I believe the general rule is only send more letters if they're phenomenal and it doesn't sound like your third one is.

Also, just so you know: it's totally fine that you read the letter! Waiving your right to see it just means you can't request it from LSAC or the schools you're applying to, not that the person who wrote it can't share it with you.

Thanks, guys. I mainly feel conflicted because the issue isn't that the letter is lukewarm (it is very positive) but it's just not well-written. And I would feel extremely uncomfortable telling my supervisor this.

Yeah, I understand. I think I would just not submit it and not tell your supervisor that you didn't submit it.
