Thoughts on supplementary statement for international background?

Post by RPlatt85 » Thu Dec 22, 2016 4:11 pm

So considering writing a supplementary statement for schools since I grew up between a ton of different countries (Indonesia, Australia, France etc.) Do schools appreciate supplementary statements for things other than orientation, race etc.?

This sort of information would tend to appear on your Personal Statement and/or Diversity Statement.
Are you a U.S. citizen? If so, and you have foreign credentials (i.e. did your undergrad above) it would be best to put this in your diversity statement.
If you're an Intl. Student, this would appear on your personal statement.

My bad - I actually meant diversity statement by supplementary. Thanks for the reply!

Yeah, I was born in San Diego - we lived there until I was 3. Then started moving around.
