Re-applying to law school

So I applied to law school in my senior yer of college, but by the time came around for me to pick a school I realized I wasn't ready and needed a break.
My original plan was after my graduation in March to move abroad and teach and travel and come back in August to start law school. However, I decided to still go abroad and teach and travel but for a longer period of time. I still haven't decided when I'll move back, but it will be sometime between November to June.
I am planning on re-applying for the next year to some of the same schools and some new schools. For the schools I have already applied to I am wondering if I need to rewrite both my personal statement and my diversity statement? So far for my personal statement I was thinking of just adding a paragraph on why I decided to take a year off and how it further my interest in law, but am unsure if that's enough.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
