How helpful would a rec letter from the former dean of a T-5 law school be in the admissions process to that particular school?

LSAT a few points below 25 mark and GPA>75

I could be wrong, but probably not much if you're not URM or military or other strong softs.

Is former military service really worth much?

I'm looking to transfer hoping it will give me a bit of a bump.

Might help. Got me into the school I'm at, though I was already on the waitlist when I sent it and had state residency going in my favor.
