I love UWM as a school - cheap, solid location, and graduates seem to punch way above their weight. Don't doubt yourself OP.

The topic has been beaten to death perhaps more so than any other topic has been beaten to death on this forum so your instincts were right there.
No, it won't matter. UW Madison isn't especially "prestigious" or "impressive" anyway and adcoms just care about GPA at the end of the day. No worries there, you're good.

I'd go to Madison between the two unless there's some convincing reason not to. Not because it will impact your admission to law school, but because it's a superior intellectual environment and more absorbing university culture with a wider array of research opportunities, renowned faculty and departments, all the perks of being the flagship. If you make the very astute decision not to go to law school, Madison has more national reach has a feeder for different types of employers and graduate programs.
And of course if you like sports, Madison has a whole thing goin on that I don't think the satellite UW campuses have

Are you a senior in high school? Live your college life. Law school will always be there. Enjoy college. Get a 4.0. If anything the diversity of schools helps you (probably a .000000001% factor, if anything).

I attended American Military University, which isn't the worst online school you can go to but general opinion (especially on this site) is that it is a garbage school. I'm currently in at Maryland and Boston College so it didn't make a difference for me. Not sure how it would affect Harvard, for example, but it's not an end all. Coincidentaly, the same lesson should be kept in mind when applying to law school. People are all T14 or bust but have little understanding of how the world works. Im not saying don't go for T14, but that too is not an end all.

Who is T14 or bust?
What are you talking about?

He appears to be one of those people who misses the point. Also, if he knows so much about people here, he would know he should retake.

You haven't seen people on this site that say it is completely worthless to go to law school if it's not T14?

I think I've only actually seen one person say that...And that person is an idiot and posts stupid stuff anyways.

Yeah I guess I should have been more clear. It's not everybody and no one in this thread. I've seen probably 10-20 people say it over the past year and the elitism just pissed me off. Figured if the op was worried about prestige of institution that warning them against that kind of thing might be helpful.

Virtually no one says the only schools worth going to are T14 schools. What you might see are people arguing that only T14 schools should be considered
for particular goals. Like, if someone comes in and says they want to one day be in house counsel at a large corporation, they probably need to do some time in a BigLaw corporate practice, which means they probably need to go to a T14 to have a decent shot. Someone else comes in and says they really want to be an assistant district attorney in their hometown, the vast majority of people would tell them to go to a good regional school.
