Top Law Schools

I'm a 0L and my family is planning a vacation the second week of August and they are starting to get reservations ready. I've checked orientation dates for all of the schools that I've applied to and there shouldn't be any conflict, but is there any reason that I should be on campus more than a few days before orientation?

Where are you going for vacation?

You should visit the school at least a week before orientation and spend min 6 hours a day marking your spot in the library. Otherwise you'll be left with that humid dark corner no one likes for three years.

You should really consider vacationing/traveling during the summer if $$$$ allows.

you can take a vacation whenever you want to. you need to do zero prep prior to attending law school. don't get in to the habit of placing a higher emphasis on school than on your life.

My question was more in regards to whether there were any sort of events in the week or so before orientation that would be beneficial to attend.

Orientation itself isn't even beneficial to attend, sooooooo

Being around earlier than orientation is probably only beneficial in any way if you're doing some kind of SERIOUS move (e.g., a house full of stuff, and wife, and two kids).
