As the economy stays good, sure why not. Law blows and the finanacial upside isn't there like it used to be. Another downturn and it will go up though.

Is the financial upside guaranteed for top schools? I know there are legal jobs out there and the market ...."is good for those in certain positions".

Your right law does "blow" and it needs the financial incentive, if they want people to drop off and waste 3 years not collecting income. I mean they have to start justifying their institution $$$. I mean being an Actuarial blows, but at least they pay you. So at the end of the evening you can go home yos nice house in a nice neighborhood and feel your life isn't too worthless.

I was hoping for a continued drop in applications. To lessen the competition for employment and remove the stigmatizam that there are too many lawyers. Everyone and their mothers tell me same..

Because everyone dreams of mottels and boddels and being a lawyer is the only sure way to achieve both objectives.

There will always be unimaginative liberal arts majors whose only hope at an upper-middle class lifestyle is law. The industry is becoming more and more transparent, but people will continue to believe that they will be the exception to the rule and that things are going to work out for them.

Further, as law school applications drop, there will likely be a surge in articles suggesting that the glut has ended and that it's once again a "safe" industry. People will enroll en masse, the oversupply will return, and on and on we go.

"Unimaginative liberal arts major" lol honestly I think it is less to do with unimaginative and more to do with society devaluing these majors and solidifying that they are useless, but salvageable if they attend law school or further education.

What do you see in the future for careers in law? Do you see a future? I feel like law schools and some applicants are not willing to fully recognize that there are changes and things cannot be achieved efficiently and timely with this continued path.

Models want men with constant money who will be uppers to their careers. Now lawyers working 60+ hours a week to out run debt. The best to ever hope for is high priced hookers and regular working women.

It isn't that bad, if you think about it. Never think you are settling.

There is no doubt that a breaking point is coming in regards to shitty law schools.

While I'm not going to link the data, it is easy to find that applicants with decent LSATs are decreasing in number and shitty schools have let their medians absolutely plummet. Eventually there will be a breaking point on that- you cannot have an ABA accredited school with a median LSAT of 139. So shit's gonna hit the fan on that sometime and what that means for applications and applicants is unclear (at least to me). But I guess it won't have that much effect because what I am talking about is only for schools that really have no reason to be open in the first place.
