I want to know if a full ride covers dorm expenses.
If not, then I have no chance of going out of city, for I do not want debt (of course).
Thanks.
Living for free with parents is probably a good idea idea.Nova wrote:Adults shouldn't live in dorms or with parents.
Taking out loans for COL is very reasonable when school is free.
Ugh. Couldn't imagine sharing a residential space with my family for more than a week. That's about how long our vacations can last, and I aim to never visit home for longer with all of them present. Living with your parents full time? Jesus christ, I know it's an affliction for up to 1/3 of college grads by necessity, but by choice.. can't imagine.Desert Fox wrote:Living for free with parents is probably a good idea idea.Nova wrote:Adults shouldn't live in dorms or with parents.

Uh, forcing? It costs money to live in an apartment like an adult. If it's imperative to have 0 debt, ok.jaylawyer09 wrote: Wow... looks like one cant really escape paying alot of money, in turn forcing one to stay home with the parents..

One might characterize it as the full-tuition + $15k/year scholarship at the U of Chicago. One would be very happy to receive it, should one be lucky enough to have received the LSAT score and obtained the undergrad GPA necessary for one to be considered for such award.jaylawyer09 wrote:What is the Rubenstein?james.bungles wrote:jbagelboy wrote:Moreover: doesn't the Rubenstein afford a living stipend to cover an apartment?
Yes 15k/yr
It's probably the single best law school admissions outcome there is, other than a massive aid grant at Yale.elterrible78 wrote:One might characterize it as the full-tuition + $15k/year scholarship at the U of Chicago. Here is a pretty comprehensive list for the T14s: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 5&t=144338Hopefully, there is a similar (scholarship + stipend) deal in other schools as well. I'll have to so some research.

this only adds 5k a year though, hardly enough to cover COL in AustinBalthy wrote:There's also the Townes-Rice at UT.
Houston? While IDK for sure, it is doubtful. They boast their low tuition to try to get you to attend.jaylawyer09 wrote:Does anyone know if U of H gives out nice stipends also?
