Anyone ever "attended" one of these?

I watched a recording of one. It was a panel with adcoms from Harvard, Penn, NYU, and UVA, IIRC. It was interesting, but only b/c you got to hear from the adcoms themselves, as well as see them evaluate applications themselves, granted that everything they said had to be taken with a grain of salt.

Did you think it was worth attending?

The recording version was interesting to watch, but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to watch it live. Might be worthwhile if there's an opportunity to network with adcoms I suppose.

Agreed. I watched the same one. That said, I did think it was interesting how upfront most of them were regarding numbers. They compared a few applications and went with the highest number person like we expected. I'd just watch it online. Can't say I cared for the NYU guy or the UVA girl though.
well they did reject the douchebag from stanford undergrad in favor of someone with slightly worse numbers
