I've heard Washington University at St. Louis has a solid program in this area, but are there any others?

I think Fordham would be your best bet.

It is extremely unlikely you will get an international law job out of a T30

Wustl's law library has books written in Chinese characters. Maybe there's asian law in there, but I wouldn't know.

It depends on what you're talking about..if you're talking about getting placed in Asia, then (1) be asian or speak the language, (2) have connections in asia (3) go to a decent school that has brand power in whatever region you're targeting. WUSTL sends grads back to Asia every year, but i'm sure every major school does. That's almost always just a function of Asian students going back home or something.
If you're talking about Asian law as like..an academic field or something, then I'm not sure what to make of that.
I have a 1L SA offer from a major firm in Asia (not sure if i will take it), and I go to WUSTL. But it's not because I go to WUSTL. WashU has a good reputation in East Asia, but so will any major university. Getting placed in Asia is almost always about grades/connections/language fluency. If you think people are prestige whores here, it's much more so in Asia. So the best way to break into the market is to go a top school and do well there..and learn the language if u don't know it already.
