Credit requirements to transfer

I am starting at TJSL but would rather not graduate there even though i have a full ride. I'm starting in the spring. How many credits are needed to transfer for the fall? What are the maximum amount of credits permitted? I would require a scholarship to cover the full tuition minus $7,500. Which schools on the east cost are most likely to provide this kind of need based aid? I prefer to attend on the east coast so that I can have a chance at working on the east coast.

Schools would have their transfer requirements on their websites, but I think you will struggle because you won't be a 2L yet.

Although this post isn't in the transfers forum, I think the advice there applies:
Asking for transfer advice before you have grades is a waste of everyone's time. There are two reasons for this.

The first is that 95% of transfer admissions is your 1L grades, and you can't predict in advance how well you're going to do. If you intend to transfer up a tier, you're going to need to do very well your first year, probably top 10% or better. The problem is, everyone is going to be trying to be in the top 10% of their class their first year, and if 100% of the class is trying to be in the top 10%, 90% will be disappointed. And since there's no way to know how well you can do until you actually get grades, nobody can help you figure out your chances of transferring without at least some grades.

The second is that you make real sacrifices when you transfer, and it's not something you should be planning on less than a semester into law school. You leave behind connections with professors and opportunities such as LR at your old school. If you're asking about transferring before you have grades back, it suggests you're just planning to transfer no matter what, which is dumb. This is the advice you'll get if you start seeking transfer advice before you get any grades back.
The number of credits you need to transfer and the maximum that will transfer would be best answered by the school you want to transfer to. And the general wisdom here is that very few schools outside of HYS offer need-based aid.

I know this is off-topic, but I'm weirdly impressed this guy hasn't been banned yet for trolling with so many inanely stupid topics. Kudos, john1990, kudos.

Seriously though, the entire story you've created is tragic because it will end in financial and professional ruin. It's like a poor character of our generation encapsulated into a single figment of your imagination.

I doubt he'll ever even go to law school, so hopefully things work out for the real jon1990. Not sure why a mod came in and gave him a substantive response, but maybe it's just me who's being trolled.

It wasn't really supposed to be a substantive response, it was supposed to be a hint not to ask questions about transferring.

And I've said this before, but trolling requires you to not believe what you're saying. There are trolls, and then there are the tragically misinformed.

This guy is the former. Read his post history. He gets a kick out of this shit.

If he is trolling, you can just ignore him - the attention is all they want.
