Would it be worth it?

I am 30 years old and have an undergrad in CS and an MS in IS both from NJIT. However my undergrad grades are horrendous (sub 3) though my masters was ok (3.7). So what would my chances be of getting into a Rutgers or Seton hall and would they be worth it? Since do I have a CS degree I can pursue a career in patent prosecution. But what would my prospects be coming out of a school like RU?

Rutgers 25th to 75th percentile for GPA is 2.99-3.47 and for the LSAT its 155-160. So since you'll be on the lower end for GPA, you'll probably have to have higher than a 160 on the LSAT to level it out. The masters degree would be considered a very strong soft however so I don't think you need to worry too much. As for your job prospects leaving Rutgers, specifically for patent prosecution, I could not tell you.

I don't know about patent prosecution specifically, but I think the standard TLS line would be that RU or Seton Hall are worth it ONLY IF you land a fatty of a scholarship and go for free/nearly free and you're fine with being geographically limited to NJ.
