How did you pay?
How did you pay for law school? I'm just trying to get an idea of how people actually swing the huge cost of a law degree. Obviously some people who go K-JD may have their parents pay for law school, but I'm assuming the vast majority are using savings, loans, etc. How did/how do you plan to finance your education?

A "check all that apply" poll would be better for this.

Re: How did you pay?
Over 1/2 scholarship+savings=tuition
Family paying cost of living (car, apartment, food)
Personal savings paying for luxury (going out with friends, hair, nails, shopping)
I think we can all figure out from that breakdown that I'm going out like never and my wardrobe isn't getting updated until graduation haha

And not that much savings either tbh. They're more like rainy day savings for when things get bad enough that I consider selling my eggs to survive.ImNoScar wrote:jbagelboy wrote:+1 except no parentsnickb285 wrote:Partial scholarship + loans + savings + parents.

People have their SO help pay? Unless you're married, I didn't think this was that common.

Probably just COL. I have a notable amount of classmates who live with their SO that has a FT job.thewaves wrote:People have their SO help pay? Unless you're married, I didn't think this was that common.
Im guessing most SOs who would do that have to think theyre on the marriage track and are thus investing in their future spouse.

I'll be living with my SO and so part of my COL will be split with him, but thats all I would expect.. Would never ask for tuition help or anything like that.
