Deciding where to go?
I got accepted to Loyola New Orleans for full time with no scholarship. I also got accepted to Florida coastal with an offer of 22,000 a year. Trying to decide wether to pay sticker at Loyola or spend about half at Florida coastal. What would you do?

Re: Deciding where to go?
Most people on this forum would say that given the legal economy's current situation, neither of those are worth going to. Retake pls.

Based on employment data, neither of those options are good. What are your stats?
I also just saw Florida Coastal is a for-profit law school. OOF.

Retake or don't go. You will cripple yourself with debt with either option.

Do not go to either of these schools. Chances are you'll never become an attorney if you do and the debt will likely ruin your life either way.
Do not attend. Study for and retake the LSAT if you really want to be a lawyer.

Choosing to go to either of those schools will almost certainly be one of the worst decisions you've ever made. If you want to be an attorney: study much harder for the LSAT, and get into a much better school with a lot more money.

Unless you feel as if you can 100% for sure graduate at the top of your class, then retake.

Even if he did graduate at the top of the class, the options still would still be terrible.Clyde Frog wrote:Unless you feel as if you can 100% for sure graduate at the top of your class, then retake.

No go on either. Retake, and take some time to look around the forums about some of the huge feedback provided by TLS members regarding 'these' type of law schools.

Re: Deciding where to go?
He's clearly not coming back, and is going to one of them so I guess the correct advice would be Coastal to keep the debt down. It should be about minimizing how much the taxpayers have to pay back. Enjoy your three years, and don't study hard because even top 10% isn't really going to get a good job. If you're responsible for a worse public school, and more crime because there's one less police officer, you should at least enjoy yourself. Try to go to church/synagogue/mosque if possible, and pray that the officer would have just eaten doughnuts, and that there won't be a murder during a botched robbery because you couldn't retake. You owe it to the dead victim to do at least that much in your pursuit of justice.
