I'm pretty sure you have to have graduated before you attend law school, bro. But idk.

I'd sure as hell hope that's a requirement. I'd still finish undergrad before I start law school (theoretically start end of August and take French in May/June).
So, you mean you will be applying to law schools next year? Not attending, as said in the OP? Or like, you mean "next year" as in Fall 2014?

In any case, I took two out of my three required language classes p/f because I'm only decent at reading languages, not writing/speaking, and it didn't affect me one bit. Depends on if you think you'll get an A- or not. If you're bad at languages, I'd do p/f.

Also, take an additional year off after college to study for the LSAT - you're gonna need a high one to get into a school worth going to with that gpa.

Take that French class as pass/fail, and while you're at it load up on 100 level art/English/drama/whatever-you're-good-at classes to boost your GPA. (And then study for the LSAT in exactly the opposite way you studied in UG.)

No adcomm will fault you for taking a class P/F though. I think that was your original question.

T14 + top regional in location you want to work (w/ significant scholarship)

Why not work for a year after that instead? But no, taking French like that won't disadvantage you apart from losing the edge you would gain from being completely out of UG for a year before attending.

unless you're URM, your GPA will keep you out from HYS.

Absolutely not going for HYS. Looking at schools in Texas, North Carolina, and Florida.

if you actually want to boost your GPA, take as many easy classes at WCC as you can (for like $500/credit hour) and watch your LSDAS GPA skyrocket

Do you know if WCC gives A+s?

Anyway, OP, you should definitely be getting as many As as possible until graduation to raise that GPA, and if you won't have adequate time to prep for the LSAT it's usually a very good decision to take a year off/work so you have enough time to nail it. Also if you take 231 P/F make sure you still put in the work so you won't be fucked for 232.
