Which Area/Type of Law Most Intellectually Challenging?

I've heard everything from small law being "cut and paste" work to biglaw consisting of either doc review work or stuff that a monkey or GED student could do and I'm wondering what area of law would offer the best chance at having intellectually challenging work?
I love my philosophy classes and writing position/argument papers in class and wonder whether there is one area/type of law that most utilizes heavy, argumentative writing and offers challenging intellectual stimulation and puzzle-solving?
Which areas, by contrast, tend to be more paper pushing and/or less intellectually challenging?
Thanks everyone in advance.
