I'm just trying to keep above median for my school. I don't really know what TCR is for this question though.

You're at Stanford/Columbia... how is that not motivation enough not to slack off?

For long-term motivation, you need inspiration and love of what you're doing.

For short-term, fear tactics could work.

I had an Ivy League friend whose mom kept fast food applications on hand and whenver he didnt' feel like doing homework or was slacking off she'd hand him those applications and tell him he might as well start signing up now, because that's where he'll be qualified to work if he didn't work hard in school.

That kind of thing can pump you up a bit short-term. But I think....yhou need something deeper long-term.

You already got in, why do you need to maintain?
Also, can you take the rest of your semester pass/fail?

Should still maintain good grades....senioritis can hurt later unexpectedly. Myabe he wants to do MBA later and they'll check gack at his grades.....or anything that requires grADES.

Also, my brother got senioritis after getting a good job out of college.

It hurt him when he applied to grad school later. His GPA could have been igher and he could have gotten a scholly. You just never know.

If anything, just do it because it's tehr ight thing to do. But like I said, it can hurt unexpectedly too.

You got into a great law school presumably because you're pretty smart. I dunno what major you're in or how hard your classes are.. but you should be ok. Don't stop doing the things that have made you a successful student. Still go to class, work hard on assignments,, and study for exams. You don't need to have a 4.0 like you're probably used to (or close to) but don't do anything stupid and fail a class or have an embarrassingly low GPA. Maintain at least a 3.0, which should not be difficult to do. I wouldn't worry too much.

Don't get D's or F's and if you insist on getting a C offset it with an A.

pass/fail like a mofo, put in 0 effort and cruise with Bs since undergrad isn't difficult
