Lowering Lsat scores

Ok, so im not sure if im the right thread, but if anything ill repost this to someone who can redirect me.

Im just wondering why the Lsat 25/50/75 percentages have been dropping, for example Stanford #2 on USNWR has a range from 167-172, and a gpa range of 3.7-3.9... that seems to be a bit on the low side, no? Yale,Harvard and NYU are now the only schools that have a 25-75 percentile in the 170's range. Why is this? are schools lowering the standards because there are just so few 170's out there?

Can someone please clear this up for me? and Also how will this translate in the next couple of years and cycles, i mean from 7-14 the 75th is a 170/171, and at boalt, and cornell its a 169. Would that mean a 171 and a gpa in between the 25th-75th %'s be a near lock at these schools, since LSAT seems to have more weight on it than GPA for the most part.

http://www.top-law-schools.com/rankings.html Also, im taking the information from here, so i might be way wrong, but TLS seems to have the correct information most of the time.

Thanks!

It is bc there are less applicants.

To add to the above, some of these schools (Stanford, Berkeley) don't care very much about the LSAT and have always had splits on the low end. More current info here: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 2&t=191337

Different schools rank the LSAT/GPA combo differently. Less applicants, so less scores in the higher ranges. Also you can't predict the future.
