Questions about PS - why law school..?

Hi,

I was wondering whether I have to include "why law school" part in my personal statement. I wrote my PS, and it just reflects who I am, but it does not really directly show why I am applying to law school. Is it better to include a phrase similar to "I hope to move on to the next stage with rigorous intellectual development in law school"? Or is it okay to leave my PS as it is now?

Thank you in advance!

You do not need to include anything related to law school.

What if it specifically asks like Iowa:

"Attach a personal statement (limited to two or three pages) that addresses the following questions. This is your opportunity to tell us what you really want us to know and remember about you.

Why do you want to study law?

Why do you want to study at The University of Iowa College of Law?

What has been your most significant accomplishment?

How would you contribute to our law school community and the legal profession?

Describe any life experiences that would indicate unusual drive, determination, motivation, or leadership characteristics."

If it specifically asks, you should specifically answer. How is this a difficult question?

To be fair, I just sent them the same PS as everyone else even if they asked for something specific. Oh well.
