Does the CRS really help law schools find you?

I noticed yesterday that I wasn't signed up for LSAC to send my information out to schools.
Does this really help with getting scholarships and such or even getting schools to contact you and say "hey, you should apply, you're almost guaranteed to get in"?

IMO, the only thing CRS is good for is fee waivers.

Then, as pointed out by another poster, it's good for application fee waivers.

I've gotten dozens of emails from schools in regions I'm not interested in and where my numbers are significantly above their 75%.
Seriously, if my LSAT is 15 points above your full scholly target and you're more than 1000 miles away, in buttfuck michigan or Georgia, what makes you think I'd ever consider your TTT?

Don't knock the fee waivers though.
I wouldn't be going to UT if I hadn't have gotten a fee waiver, and even though I got into higher ranked law schools, I would go here again in a second.

Might be a dumb question but if you are registered for CRS and have a valid LSAT score will you receive fee waivers before you register for/complete your CAS?

They'll start as soon as they smell you. Remember that depending on where you go to school, you're worth nearly $300k.
My advice is don't be honest. Tell them you want to go to school in Alabama and North Dakota. I told them I wanted to go to school in California or DC, and the only fee waiver I got was from USC. Berkley, UCLA, and GTown didn't give me a waiver because they knew I wanted to go there. Well jokes on them, I'm in Austin.
