How to solicit a fee waiver in person?

Post by florida1949 » Wed Oct 24, 2012 8:59 pm

My university is hosting a professional and graduate school day tomorrow and a bunch of the schools I will be applying to will be there. I have heard of people getting fee waivers from schools at the LSAC forum. Should I just explicitly ask for one? Or give them my resume/hope that increases my chances of receiving one?

I don't think my resume as-is (170/3.51) is good enough to get a merit fee waiver from the T6 if not the whole T14, but I did retake in October and think I improved my score.

thanks

I'd ask them.

I just asked at the one I went to last week at my UG. Several schools had sign-up sheets or cards for that purpose. They're expecting people to hit them up for fee waivers, don't feel weird about it.
