CAS: Credential Assembly Service

Hi All, first post here,

I have no pre-law advisory to ask this question, so i hope someone here can help. It seems like nearly all law schools now require this service, but one facet of it, the evaluations, I am still confused about.

First and foremost, can the same people who write my letters of recommendation do the evaluations as well? Is this advisable?

Secondly, do they make a big difference in terms of affecting an application?

Thanks in advance for all answers. :D

Thanks for the quick reply, much appreciated :)

I think I will ask each of my letter of recommendation writers to fill one out, and hopefully I can get one or two filled out just to add to my application, however, I wont stress it too much. Any other opinions on the issue?

Thanks again,

Scootz

Don't bother. Your recommenders will be happier about writing your LORs if they don't have to fill out an extensive and tedious survey form.

First, yes & yes.

Second, they are irrelevant.
