Is there anything that I'm not yet doing that I should be?

I'm a junior in college and I plan on taking the LSAT in June. I'm a captain of my school's Mock Trial team and we appeared at nationals last year. I am setting up an internship at the public defenders office in my home city in the coming summer. I have a 3.5 GPA, and I feel like I'm doing really well this year, so I think bumping it up to a 3.6 or 3.7 is quite feasible. I've also held a job each summer of college so far.

I have the two Powerscore bibles and the LSAC Superprep book. I also am told by my parents that they'll set me up with a TestMasters live course in the Spring! Thanks mom and dad! So far I've been taking a few timed practice tests and hitting the 160-165 range...

So is there anything else I should be doing? I want to have every advantage possible. My dream is to go to Cornell or Michigan. Well, Yale is the dream, but that's probably off the table unless I can manage to save an endangered species in the next year. (fingers crossed)

Any and all advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Take lots of easy classes between now and the time you collect your diploma (including in the summer and a fifth year if necessary) and then take a year off so that all of the A+'s you'll earn in your last year of college count towards your GPA.

There's an easier way to do this than you think: find every specimen of an already-weak species, publicly kill all of them save for a single mating pair, and then announce to the world that you're going to let them live.

But in terms of anything else you should be doing? Not really. Tiago's right in that getting your GPA up is going to be big, and the method he suggests will help you there. You've started earlier than many on LSAT prep, which is good. The most important thing is to get that LSAT score up. If your GPA stays around 3.5 and you break into the 170s, you've got a good shot at Cornell; that probably becomes a good shot at Michigan if you can get the GPA up at or above 3.6 and the LSAT to 171 or higher.

TL;DR: Keep trying to improve GPA. Keep trying to improve LSAT.

LSAT of 174+ you have a decent shot at Columbia. Go for that.

Thanks a lot everyone! Yeah, I figured bumping up the GPA and LSAT was all I could do. So far I'm getting a 4.0 in all my classes but one, which is a 3.5. So I'm remaining hopeful!

With any luck all this studying will pay off and I can hit a 172 or something.

Thanks again!
