Law School "Concentration"

While in LS, you can apparently "concentrate" in something like Corporate Law, Public Policy Law, Law & Race, etc...
I'm guessing that this is a pretty informal process and that you don't actually declare a concentration like one would an undergraduate major. I imagine that I would be most interested in the "softer" concentrations (Law & Race, Public Policy, etc) than I would corporate, transactional, etc.
Does this look worse to Law Firms during OCI than a concentration in corporate law?
