Do grades in law school matter?

Do they matter if one desires to work part-time as a judge?
Also, what is the process to become a judge?

Nope they don't.

The process goes like this. Find somewhere that elects judges. Get close to the dominant political party. Have them nominate you and fund your campaign.

TITCR. Come to Pennsylvania and run. You don't even have to be a lawyer to run for magisterial district court.

You don't need to be a lawyer to run for municipal courts in other states too.
