Order of the Coif?

Does becoming a member of the Order of the Coif improve employment opportunities generally?
If someone went to a TTT and was able to join upon graduation, would that make that person in question more qualified for employment than a Harvard grad who is not a member?

Ya. TTT + Order of the Coif = Biglaw Secure. One of the better kept secrets of the legal profession.

So, in other words, if I went to a TTT and became a OotC member, I'd get Biglaw. Too bad there's only a 90% chance of failure...
Would this mean Biglaw anywhere, or Biglaw where the TTT is located?
Also, wouldn't this encourage high LSAT/UGPA people to go to a TTT to get a free education and a better shot at OotC status?

Pretty much this. If sarcastic, he got me.
I asked as an honest question; seems like he got me good....

Sure; I don't think anyone would argue it hurts, and some would argue it helps. If that attitude is even partially reflected in the legal hiring world . . .
I'd rather have 4 semesters of interning if I was gonna graduate unemployed.

I don't know what the snark is for. OP asked a reasonable question.
Firms don't really care about Order of the Coif, except to the extent that it's a reflection of your grades. And firms quickly discount grades as you go down the rankings. Someone in the top 25% of Harvard will have better job prospects than someone in the top 1% of a third-tier school, Order of the Coif or not.

being the tallest midget may land you a job, but not over a Harvard grad.
