Yellow Legal Pads

Post by joetheplumber » Sun Apr 01, 2012 10:00 pm

Why do people use yellow legal pads to take notes. Why don't they use the regular 70 page spiral notebooks like in high school. ?????????????

In law school? Most people use their laptops and those who don't use normal notebooks. Only a couple of people I know use legal pads.

The difference is that regular students are on facebook/espn while gunners are taking a transcript of the class.

What are the pros of using laptops over notepads, and the pros of using notepads over laptops? Why do you guys use one, or the other?

Well I'm just wondering what peoples' preferences are.
Cos most people say laptops are easier because you can type rather than write on them...but still a lot of people use notebooks, so I'm wondering why.

With laptops you're tempted to surf the web during class. Also, with laptops you might end up transcribing everything the prof says, but it'd be more useful for you to just take notes and distill the important parts.

Because I am a 3L and I cannot be bothered to remember to bring things to school with me--if I show up at all. But, if I do decide to go to class, sometimes I borrow a legal pad from work to bring with me.

I don't bring a laptop because I don't like carrying it around and I feel that I remember my notes better when handwriting them (also don't have to take time formatting shit (like tabs and shit). I use legal pads, but only because my mother gets them free at work.

I don't know what's worse: that you asked this question, or that I answered it.

If you are a 3L lucky enough to have an offer for after you graduate, are you in the same type of situation like UG seniors who already have offers are? Just going to class to graduate and get on with job? If so, what are the stipulations usually with the job offer? Like you have to maintain a certain gpa or something?
